Art Elysées - 8e Avenue, Paris, October 2017

Art Elysées - 8e Avenue, Paris, October 2017
8e Avenue, the new essential event during the week of October dedicated to Art in Paris. This young art show is set opposite the Art Élysées - Art & Design fair which in 2016 will celebrate its 10th anniversary. The Art Élysées - Art & Design organizers offer through 8e Avenue a new section open to present-day contemporary art, including urban art. As an ideal place for cultural and economic exchanges, 8e Avenue is an ambitious event supported with enthusiasm and determination by an Artistic Committee, composed of professionals, which was initiated in order to guarantee a high quality selection. Therefore the 8e Avenue show composes a fourth pavilion that conveys synergy and offers visitors of both events a large artistic range dating from the 20th till 21st century. Each of the four pavilions exhibit different art movements and all of them benefit from the same structure: a single aisle. The disposition of the fair ensures an enjoyable perspective for visitors as all the galleries are aligned along the aisle and each of them benefit from the same visibility. The works on show are hanged in a clear and lively way creating a convivial setting and a pleasant tour. Galerie Duret - Stand 526 E

Carré Rive Gauche, April 2017

Carré Rive Gauche, April 2017
The Carré Rive Gauche it is an evocative name, a name full of history and prestige. This place, which was originally Marguerite de Navarre’s gardens, has become in the 17th Century a site of abundant constructions of private mansion houses. The streets of Lille, les Saints-Pères, Beaune are filled with a rich past where art was always a predominant part. Nearby the Saint-Germain-des-Prés church and in front of the Louvre museum, the Carré Rive Gauche quickly became the antiquarians and art lovers preferred location, there the artistic emulation has always been the headword. In the 19th Century it was possible to come across glorious artists such as Baudelaire and Ingres, so naturally the neighbourhood became the most attractive location for antiquarians and galerists. It in this distinguished place that the Galerie Duret has decided to settle in December 2016, full of desire to offer visitors a stunning experience. The contemporary art meets History and David Gerstein, Virginia Benedicto and Romero Britto’s artworks shine in a monument of the French History. There the modern questions the old, the past meets the present: the Carré Rive Gauche is a bold and radiant mix of arts, cultures and times.
