Over the Christmas-New Year season, the Galerie Duret invites you to discover its new exhibition "Let's Go To Disco Tonight". Under the direction of Laetitia Dufour and Mickael Adjadj the Galerie Duret gather an eclectic selection of contemporary artists on the theme "Disco".
Student at the Beaux Arts in Paris in 1968, David Gerstein (1944) is marked by the madness of disco nights. He devotes an entire theme of his work to the movements of these frenzied and highly colored nights.
Virginia Benedicto (1971) made her first steps on Donna Summer’s tube. She reveals the energy of the Seventies through unstructured and graphic women dancing beyond the canvas.
It is by observing the hypnotic artworks of Nicolas Dubreuille (1972) that we become aware of the influence of disco years on his work, which oscillates between geometry and psychedelic lines.
Artists exhibited : David Gerstein, Virginia Benedicto, Nicolas Dubreuille and Paul Picka.
